Coaching Staff

Ian is a former rower at Edgewater Crew and graduated in 2023. His accomplishments as a rower at Edgewater Crew are many; 3 FSRA Scholastic State Championships, 1 Overall FSRA State Championship, 2 Stotesbury Cup Medals and 2nd place at SRAA Nationals. Ian is passionate about our program, our kids and wants Edgewater Crew to win races. We’re happy to have Ian carry on the tradition of rowing excellence ingrained at Edgewater Crew.

Coach Thomas is a dedicated and passionate leader who believes in the power of positive reinforcement and genuine care for his athletes. His coaching philosophy is built on creating a supportive, nurturing environment where every team member feels valued and motivated to excel. Beyond teaching the technical skills of the sport, he focuses on building confidence and fostering a strong, positive mindset in his athletes.

Aylin began her rowing career at Winter Park Crew and graduated in 2022. She continued her rowing career at the Division 1 level at the University of Kansas, where she graduated in 2026 with a degree in Exercise Science. During her rowing career, she earned a 3rd place finish at the Big 12 Championships, 2 SRAA National Championships, and 3 FSRA State Championships. Aylin strives to be a positive and encouraging presence on the team and hopes to inspire the same passion for rowing in her athletes that has shaped her own career. She is excited to be a part of Edgewater Crew and looks forward to helping athletes grow both on and off the water!
